这款使用Unreal Engine 4制作的游戏和前作比起来，本作的确进步了许多。在《Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm》中，玩家可以使用多样的武器，游戏的地图也比之前大了许多，在很多地方都能看到NS新作《The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild》的影子，但也有许多玩家表示这款游戏还有进步的空间，像是人物的动作之类的。
